10 amazing things we achieved in 2020

Although 2020 was a strange and difficult year (to say the least!), not everything about it was bad. In fact, we faced its adversities head-on and have now emerged the other side with a newfound sense of achievement. Now with fresh eyes, we can look back on 2020 with more fondness than ill feeling. On reflection, here are 10 amazing things we think we achieved in spite of the odds.

  1. We conquered remote working

Thankfully, we’re born in the cloud so already had all of the tools necessary to make the transition to remote working pretty seamless. That said, as a team we’ve never been apart for very long so culturally this came as a shock and it took some time to find our groove. The micro-conversations we had daily inside the office became instant messages outside it. Customer meetings became video chats. This new way of working also presented challenges for how we could best exchange our ideas and optimise our creativity outside of the office, which we’ve gone great lengths to overcome. Now, we’re stronger than ever.

  1. We ran 32 vendor-funded campaigns

Despite having to navigate vendor funding from afar, we still managed to execute an impressive 32 digital campaigns for our customers in 2020 alone! This included thought leadership content creation and design, email automations, pay-per-click (PPC), paid social ads, content syndication, and much more. By maximising the Marketing Development Funds (MDF) made available by vendors such as HP, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Lenovo, Dell EMC, and Apple to name but a few, we’ve helped our customers stay on top of their game during a particularly challenging year.

  1. We posted 2,630 times on customer social platforms

Although we couldn’t be social in person in 2020, we certainly made up for it over social media! We managed to gain our customers over 6,000 Engagements, almost 1,000 new Followers, and posted a total of 2,630 times. We strongly believe social media is an integral tool for helping to build your credibility as a business and improve your relationships with both customers and partners by creating an online community, so do everything we can to achieve this for you.

  1. We translated content into 8 languages

We frequently work with international businesses who require their content to extend well beyond the UK and across the globe. This year we worked with customers to translate our high-quality content into 8 different languages, including German, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Brazilian, Spanish Castilian, Spanish Latin American, Russian, and Danish. This content ranged from case studies to blog articles to eBooks, and is now being harnessed by our customers’ international teams on a regular basis to accelerate sales.

  1. We sourced and delivered high-quality merchandise to 34 countries

If you think translating content into 8 languages was impressive, try the fact we facilitated shipping to 34 different countries! Due to the global reach of several customers, we often need to ship marketing materials and incentive mailers to their varying locations. This generally involves sourcing location-appropriate items, designing the right unboxing experience for the final recipient, and liaising with customs. This year, we’ve helped ship to Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the UK, Ukraine, and the United States. Only a few then!

  1. We supported 17 webinars

With lockdown and travel restrictions to negotiate as a result of the virus, physical events have been practically impossible this year. For this reason, we’ve seen a rising interest in the hosting of online webinars as an alternate means of exploring the latest innovations with the help of industry experts. The support we’ve provided for customer webinars in 2020 consisted of creating new slideware, email and social promotion, and liaison with guest speakers. Webinars are a great way of demonstrating new tech and establishing yourself as a thought leader. They should be concise, informative, and engaging, ensuring your attendees always want to come back for more.

  1. We hosted 8 workshops

While the very beginning of the year saw us free to conduct our Strategy and Value Proposition workshops in person, we once again had to turn to a virtual alternative to deliver these key marketing services due to the national lockdown. This meant adapting the format of these workshops to ensure participants were able to gain just as much value as they would at a physical meeting over a video conferencing platform. Having now hosted a total of 8 workshops throughout 2020, we’re more than equipped to offer an exceptional virtual experience.

  1. We made a big impression with video

COVID-19 couldn’t stop us from creating awesome video content for our customers. Filming for a corporate video wrapped up just before restrictions were announced, and we were thankfully able to produce the final cut in the first few months of 2020. Without the luxury of being able to arrange any further physical shoots, we were still able to facilitate a number of talking heads videos, cut together some existing raw footage, and most importantly produce engaging animated explainers which remove the need for in-person footage altogether. One of these explainers has already gained over 5,000 views, and counting! It only goes to show there is more than one way to skin a cat…

  1. We showed love for our community

As this year’s been a difficult one for so many of us, we decided that instead of exchanging Christmas cards and gifts this year, we would make a charity donation on behalf of both our business and our brilliant customers. As a result, we were able to donate almost £1,000 to national charities. We also wanted the opportunity to give back to our local community, and so donated a total of £1,200 towards both the Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation and Alcester Day Care. You can find out more about these wonderful charities and our Christmas campaign here.

  1. We completed 195 projects

Last, but certainly not least, we were able to complete 195 projects for our customers in 2020, a considerable feat in such an unpredictable year. These projects covered a wide range of different marketing services, including the creation of infographics, gifographics, opinion white papers, email campaigns, reimagined slideware, datasheets, microsites, web copy, and so much more. We’ve embraced many new marketing techniques and refined our existing processes this year to ensure our customers always benefit from the best possible output.

While 2020 has presented several challenges for us as a business, we’re proud of what we managed to achieve during a very different kind of year. We’ve really pulled together as a team and now look forward to tackling whatever 2021 has in store.
